DescriptionThis process represents the procedure for obtaining a phytosanitary certificate for export of plants/plant products. This certificate is issued to ensure that plant and plant material are free from pests before they can be exported from Lesotho.
Comments- The certificate is in the form of a formal document (serialized with a prescribed format). The trade in plants/plant products is governed by the Plant Protection Act. - The certificate is obtained from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (Department of Agricultural Research, Plant Protection Section) and has a validity period of fourteen days or thirty days from date of issue and for one consignment only
